Bajo Fondo Radio Club Colombia
The Bajo Fondo Radio Club is an online jazz radio program produced by Argentine broadcaster Daniel Mariscal that features in-depth interviews with living legends of Latin jazz as well as selections of their music. In addition to highlighting Latin America’s diverse contributions to jazz throughout the year, Bajo Fondo has participated actively in International Jazz Day each year since 2017.

Tell us a little bit about the mission of your organization
The Bajo Fondo Radio Club is a radio program consisting of interviews and tributes to major figures in Latin American music and jazz more broadly. It is directed by Daniel Mariscal, Argentina.
Why does your organization celebrate International Jazz Day?
We are lovers of the music, whether classic jazz or modern, and are also inspired by the message UNESCO proclaims for this special day.
Tell us about a favorite memory from International Jazz Day
We celebrate jazz throughout the year; therefore the lovely memories that we have experienced together with this music are too many to name.
How do you think jazz can improve people’s lives?
