Originally from Chicago, Wanda Houston grew up singing gospel music in church and with her family’s theater group. She has led an active career as an actress, and as a vocalist has shared the stage with Oleta Adams, Patti Austin, Eartha Kitt, Liza Minelli, Pattie Labelle, Joe Cocker. She will be joining the Convergence Project Trio, led by pianist/composer, Eugene Uman and including bassist David Picchi and drummer Jon Fisher. Together they perform music influenced by Colombian rhythms, jazz, rock and gospel.
