Metropolitan Baptist Church celebrates Good Friday service with jazz music genre arrangements of well-known hymns and music that depicts the passion of Christ. Our featured saxophonist - Craig Jackson, a student at Berklee College of Music and Multi-instrumentalist and composer, is one of a kind artist whose passion for activism drives his creativity—accompanied by Henry Plumb, a drummer from Oakland, CA, and a Berklee College music major and gospel organist, Tony Martin. Jackson is originally from Dayton, and OH Craig has served as a prolific musician performing at the Lincoln Center Jazz Festival in 2014 with Lew Tabakin and Bob Lanzetti of Snarky Puppy and pianist Jesus Molina.
