Nel corso dell'incontro, inserito nella rassegna Cantieri di Socialità - "Hat & Beard Talks" l'autrice presenterà la personalità e la produzione dello straordinario contrabbassista seguendo il percorso e l’approccio che sta alla base del suo saggio. Saranno presi in esame aspetti diversi della produzione del musicista afroamericano che oltre a comporre brani strumentali scrisse anche testi in prosa, poesie e canzoni ed in alcuni periodi del suo percorso musicale fece spesso ricorso alla parola, sia declamata, sia cantata. L'evento è organizzato dall'Associazione di Promozione Sociale "Hat & Beard" di Perugia presso la suggestiva location dello Spazio Mogrè - Arte e Cultura.
