Andrew Elwood is a jazz drummer in the Denver Metro area. He is a five-year senior at Denver School of the Arts, a participant at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, and a 2024 YoungArts Winner.

Andrew has played in professional groups in the area both as a leader and sideman, as well as groups including the CCJA Jazz Messengers, Telluride Jazz All-Star Band, All State Jazz Band, and the award-winning DSA Jazz Workshop Orchestra.

The Andrew Elwood Quartet plays at the Muse Performance Space on April 11th for his senior recital. Joining him is tenor saxophone player Timothy Bowar, piano player Sonya Walker, and bass player Danny Kaminski where they play music from some of Andrew’s favorite artists.
