The Latin Jazz Institute presents International Jazz Day 2024 with Pablo Sanhueza & Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra. The evening will feature a concert setting of Charles Mingus’ Cumbia & Jazz Fusion at the Mexican Consulate of Kansas City. Learn more about KC’s jazz heritage, the work of the Latin Jazz Institute, and the KC-Chile Jazz Exchange started by Pablo Sanhueza in 2014.

Pablo Sanhueza is “Kansas City’s Heart & Soul of Latin Music” and is the region’s premier Salsa & Latin Jazz percussionist, bandleader, and educator. Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Pablo has been for more than two decades on the front line of Latin Jazz and Salsa music in the Midwest, leading and mentoring three generations of musicians of all backgrounds.
