Eastern's Three O'Clock Jazz Combo is led by Rick O'Neal. The student performers play standard tunes in a small-group setting that emphasizes improvisation. Over the years, they have performed music ranging from Gershwin to Snarky Puppy!
The Big Band is directed by Anthony Cornicello, and is focused on the large ensemble format. Each concert presents a mixture of classic Basie and Ellington tunes, alongside charts by Quincy Jones, Gil Evans as well as new material.
The event is set in the lobby of the FAIC building, so the audience is seated close to the musicians. It is a fantastic experience for all!
