Every Tuesday & Wednesday at the Relax Attack Jazz Series, The Whistler presents Chicago’s top jazz artists in a lively atmosphere, full of cocktail-shaking and spirited conversation.

On Wednesday, May 1st, we’re doing something a little different; we’re featuring DJ sets by drummer Charles Rumback and King Hippo, aka Alejandro Ayala of International Anthem Recording Company.

They’ll be spinning jazz and jazz-adjacent records from their vast collections of vinyl. Expect to hear both new and old tunes, as well as some unreleased tracks from the IARC catalog.
