“Jazz Across Cultures” highlights the importance of jazz as an international language that builds connections and community inclusion through live musical experiences, and showcases the multiple influences within Jazz and Pop, both in Brazil and in the US, over the past 60 years. The theme of the program is the mutual influence of samba and bossa nova and American jazz. Having the “ Girl Choir of South Florida” as special guest, as well as other emerging young jazz singers, the repertoire will cover songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gershwin, Milton Nascimento, Cole Porter, etc…
