Celebrate International Jazz Day with us at the Town of Oakland’s Farmer’s Market. Derrick Harris & Friends will perform jazz classics and original compositions.
Harris is the CEO of Eighth Note Productions and a trombonist in the Dr. Phillips Jazz Orchestra. Performing with him: Robert Bradley, keys; Caila Carter, vocals; Darrell Demonia, drums; and Jose Figueroa, bass. When performing, Harris aims to create a sensational, melodic atmosphere for his audiences. He plays both originally composed and arranged music, as well as interpretations of popular music from a variety of styles. He plays many musical styles including jazz, big band, and ‘50s and ‘60s rock; Caribbean music is a specialty. Funding provided by The Music Performance T
