Acclaimed vibraphonist-composer Joel Ross kicks off the 61st Reno Jazz Festival on Thursday, April 27 as he performs originals alongside University of Nevada, Reno’s jazz faculty ensemble, the Manzanita Quintet. The Manzanita Quintet features Peter Epstein on saxophone, Josh Reed on trumpet, Adam Benjamin on piano, Hans Halt on bass, and Andy Heglund on drums.

Over three days, April 27-29, the Festival presents an incredible lineup of jazz artists and educators devoted to educating and inspiring the next generation of musicians. Festivalgoers can watch headliner concerts, participate in the Festival Jam Sessions and attend 20+ workshops and concerts from artists such as Caroline Davis, Johnaye Kendrick, and George Colligan.
