A Latin Jazz Party with The Ray Vega Band celebrating International Jazz Day!!

This concert will take place at Contois Auditorium located at 142 Church Street (Burlington City Hall) in Burlington, Vermont. The program is scheduled for 2-4pm and will be free to the public. The Ray Vega Band (RVB) will present a program of original compositions as well as Jazz standards by John Coltrane, Woody Shaw, Miles Davis and Horace Silver among others. The RVB combines Jazz with elements of Afro-Caribbean influences as well as contemporary urban grooves. The band is Ray Vega/trumpet & percussion, Brian McCarthy/saxes, Michael Hartigan/piano, Giovanni Rovetto/bass, Scott Dean/percussion and Caleb Bronz/drums. Ray Vega is a veteran of the bands of Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto and Mario Bauza. www.rayvegamusic.com
