The Jazz Russell band celebrates the IJD with an open concert @ Bar Monti. The band is formed and focused on rhythm section musicians only, and celebrates freedom of expression by bringing an unrestricted approach of language and forms to the repertoire of traditional jazz. Inspired by the desire of speaking a unified musical voice, building on each other’s contribution without a specific soloist, the band considers dialogue between instruments of the rhythm section as the true soloist. The band is led by Filippo A. Delogu (guitar), and features Andrea Nuzzo on Rhodes piano and Giuseppe Talone on doublebass.
