International Jazz Day at Sapienza University of Rome

05/02 19:00

MuSa – Musica Sapienza celebrates the International Jazz Day with the traditional concert of its jazz big band, composed by 25 musicians and conducted by Roberto Spadoni. The performance will be a tribute to Duke Ellington, the most influential, prolific and charismatic jazz musician of all times, in the 50th anniversary of his death.
The concert will also host a special guest: “Rosario Giuliani & Santa Cecilia Saxophones Ensemble”, a band with students from the Jazz Department of Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome. Rosario Giuliani is the conductor of the ensemble and the composer of the piece performed (“Suite et Poursuite I II III”).
