Since 1962, the Reno Jazz Festival has proudly hosted jazz students, instructors, performers and fans at the University of Nevada, Reno to play, listen and learn. The three-day festival provides a forum for students to perform for professional music educators and peers, and to learn from jazz masters via clinics, live feedback, and concerts.
With over 60 school groups, over 1000 attendees, and 10+ professional Artist Educators, The Reno Jazz Festival not only builds new connections with the jazz community but strengthens connections between schools and identifies new ways to integrate into our local communities. We strive to ensure that every participant leaves with greater knowledge, appreciation and love of music and the world of jazz.
