The AJW Adult Jazz Improvisation class meets from 7-9 p.m. weekly on Wednesdays at the Fine Arts Building of the University of Alaska Anchorage. This is an intermediate to advanced class for High school and adult students. AJW Instructor Mark Manners teaches this class for the Spring 2025 Semester. The AJW also holds a begging class for middle school students on Thursdays and an intermediate Friday class for middle and high school students. The AJW was founded by John Damberg in 1995 and incorporated as a 501 c (3) arts and service nonprofit providing jazz education and performance opportunities programs in Anchorage and the rest of Alaska.
