Pastor E. Terrell Washington and RHBC in Nashville presents Gospel: According to Jazz. The house band will be The Fellas Jazz Band along with the Eta Xi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc from Tennessee State University. The featured vocalists will be Paula Chavis and Dr. Cheryl Slay Carr. Chavis, a health enthusiast, has been singing for over seven decades and spent thirty-four years as a public-school educator. Dr. Slay Carr is a Professor of Music Business in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Business at Belmont University. The event will be curated by Dr. Karen Chandler, retired Professor of Arts Management and Co-Founder/Principal of The Charleston Jazz Initiative.
