HITTING THE LOW NOTES: Big Band concert, featuring JJoseph Daley’s 7 Deadly Sins

Join us for an evening of new, thrilling big band jazz, spotlighting the “low” end of the scale. The first half of the program features tunes by Jaco Pastorius, Charles Mingus, Thad Jones and others, giving bass, tuba, bari and bass saxophones some love. For the second half of the program Joseph Daley – world-renowned jazz tuba/euphonium player and composer – will conduct the evocative Seven Deadly Sins. Enriching our 17-piece band for this performance will be Bass Saxophone, Tuba, French Horn, and extended trumpet and percussion sections.
Library Jazz Band is a 17-pc jazz collective based in Yonkers, NY, with a mission of widely sharing America’s own music. This concert is free and open to the public.
