Girl Plays Jazz Project is a not-for-profit organisation that introduces girls to jazz improvisation and supports them as developing musicians through workshops, masterclasses and performances in England. Our masterclass for this year’s Jazz Day is with the acclaimed pianist Kate Williams and her trio. All girls aged 8 to 18 are welcome, and no experience of improvising is necessary. We are proud to be funded by the Arts Council for England.
