Benny Sharoni Quartet

Nacido en Israel, el tenor saxofonista Benny Sharoni estudió en el prestigioso Berklee College of Music en Boston. Discípulo de Jerry Bergonzi, Charlie Banacos y George Garzone, empezó su carrera en Estados Unidos.

Su registro bebe de la fuerza expresiva de Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Steve Grossman y también de las cadencias calientes de la música latina.

Su disco «Eternal Elixir» (Papaia Records, 2009) cautivó a un buen número de aficionados y recibió varias distinciones. «Merece ser comparado con otros gigantes del jazz», dice el crítico Raúl D’ Gamma Rose del «All about music».

Benny Sharoni Quartet

His record drinks from the expressive force of Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Steve Grossman and also from the hot cadences of Latin music.

His album "Eternal Elixir" (Papaia Records, 2009) captivated a good number of fans and received several awards. "He deserves to be compared to other jazz giants," says critic Raúl D'Gamma Rose of "All about music."
