The First Baptist Church Of Pittsburgh was gracious enough to partner with us and allow us to use their lawn as performance space. This is jazz celebration is a great time to remind people of how rooted , healing, and powerful this music is. There are three universities in near the church. A diverse culture of people live, work, and play in the area.
The musicians are excited to perform their favorite jazz songs for passers-by and people who want to sit and listen. Joy is why we love playing jazz. It is a connector and a healer man!
I want to thank Herbie Hancock and his staff at UNESCO for providing the inspiration to have this day be special for musicians, jazz enthusiasts, and the World.
