Join us – In celebration of International Jazz Day, Detroit based pianist/Aya Sekine presents Ayaschool Vol.18: Introduction to Jazz Scene in Asia.
This program explores jazz across Southeast Asia, Beijing, Japan, and beyond, offering perspectives shaped by over two decades of experience in the region. Special guests Nancy Jenkinson Brown and bassist Dan Zylinsky share insights from their years living and working in Beijing. The evening includes a talk, Q&A, live music, and an open jam session, creating space for dialogue, listening, and community exchange in Detroit.
