Tucson celebrates International Dance & Jazz Days under a Big Band Swing Dance era theme with Lindy Hop workshops on April 29, Intl Dance Day, with guest champion Lindy Hopper, singer and bandleader Naomi Uyama (Minneapolis) at the Tucson Creative Dance Center. On Intl Jazz Day we’re dancing to live big band music by the Tucson Jazz Institute Ellington Big Band and Naomi & Her Handsome Devils on the Historic Hotel Congress Plaza 6-10 pm. Naomi will teach a Swing Dance class 6:30 pm. Join us as we dance under the stars until 10 pm. May 1 Naomi & Her Handsome Devils perform at The Century Room jazz club. Naomi is an international touring performer (Sweden, Paris, Seoul & more) and has taught thousands of students from 20 countries. JOIN US!
