FV’s Pan American Jazz Orchestra Meets Mount Pleasant, DC!

Multi-award-winning percussionist and composer Fran Vielma will present a free performance with his jazz orchestra for the Mount Pleasant community in Washington, DC on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
This initiative was envisioned by Vielma to bring free, world-class performances to neighborhoods across the district, showcasing contemporary jazz rooted in the musical traditions of the Americas. The project grew out of a pandemic-era sidewalk concert series on Kennedy St. NW organized by Charvis Campbell of HR Records.
This concert is made possible thanks to the support of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and serves as a great opportunity in preparation for International Jazz Day on April 30.
