04/30 19:00

Kansas City , MO

In-Person

The Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra presents "Latin Side of Kansas City," its 9th International Jazz Day concert. As the Midwest’s premier authority on salsa and Latin jazz, KCLJO honors Kansas City’s jazz legacy and Afro-Latin traditions through its unique apprenticeship and conservatory model. Founded by Master Artist Pablo Sanhueza and historian Cynthia Ammerman, the ensemble represents decades of leadership, with official programming dating back to 2014. The concert will feature blends of Bebop, Caribbean, Latin American, and Salsa classics. More than a concert, it is a vital bridge between historic KC jazz and Latin American music. Guest artists from Cuba, Chile, and Italy, besides the intergenerational ensemble.
