Evanston Celebrates International Jazz Day!

Evanston celebrates International Jazz Day with free multi-generational performances, including music from Evanston teen sensations “7th Period”, Evanston’s homegrown quintet “Jazz Dads,” and wrapping up with Evanston’s venerable “In Full Swing” Jazz Orchestra. Special guest artists Donovan Mixon on guitar, and Chris Greene on saxophone will perform throughout the evening.
Performances will celebrate America’s original art form from its earliest days in New Orleans to some of today’s most iconic tunes. Visit the concert’s web site and social media event pages for full details of this special concert.
The concert will begin at 7pm in Evanston’s newest music venue - Akar Auditorium, located at 2715 Hurd Ave. in Evanston, IL 60201
