AN AFTERNOON OF JAZZ BY DUKE ELLINGTON & BILLY STRAYHORN!
The Novel Jazz Septet is a tribute band for Duke Ellington & Billy Strayhorn, now in their 22nd year. They will present an afternoon matinee at The Hill Arts, in Portland, ME on Sat., 2 May, 2026, 2PM. They’ll be performing standard as well as, newly discovered, lesser-known, tunes by Duke and Strays. This is an OFFICIAL Portland, Maine celebration of International Jazz Day, as declared by the United Nations "to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe."
