The EMUFPA JAZZ BAND is a project conceived by professors from the Collegiate of Popular Music of the School of Music of the Federal University of Pará – EMUFPA. The objective is to expand the work in popular music that has been carried out at EMUFPA through artistic and didactic concerts, in addition to lectures on the repertoire for Big Bands - inside and outside the school space - of popular music of an instrumental and/or jazz nature. vocal, produced and resulting from a solid research of the repertoire, accurate musical analysis, creation of arrangements and compositions elaborated by its technical team, seeking, thus, to value the repertoire in question, as well as to expand its diffusion to the internal and external public .
