5 MBS 99.9 is a community radio station in Adelaide, South Australia broadcasting 24 hours a day who will have a special International Jazz Day programme from midday to 6pm - live and streaming from our River Street Studios in Hindmarch.

Probably one of the earliest to be heard worldwide on International Jazz Day!

12pm to 2pm – Greg Schultz
A look back at prominent Jazz artists who have featured in the IJD All-Star Concerts over the past 10 years, from the 2013 Istanbul concert to the 2022 UN Headquarters in New York City.

2pm to 4pm – Chris Stone
Celebrating the centenary of the births of four great jazz instrumentalists: Milt Jackson (born 1st January 1923); Dexter Gordon (born 27th February 1923); Wes Montgomery (born 6th March 1923); and Red Garland (born 13th May 1923).

4pm to 6pm – Jill Kirby
Presenting a festival of female Jazz voices from around the world. The accompanying instrumentalists are, of course, a part of this IJD gala. Today though, it’s the women who will vocalise the international language of Jazz.
