The last concert of International Jazz Day 2023 in Rotterdam will be a long set by the Sander Smeets Quartet at the wonderful Wester Paviljoen. After a break the participants of IJD Rotterdam can join the band in a final jam.
Sander Smeets is a competent all-round drummer with roots in the swinging bop tradition. But you can also hear him in more free style settings. He is a member of the quartet of Claudio Jr. De Rosa and he is one of the founding members of the Dutch Jazz Collective. For this special occasion he brings 3 multi-talented young stars.
