West Coast Jazz Festival is a 2 day event with high school jazz ensembles participating from all over Vancouver Island and the lower mainland of British Columbia. Vancouver Island University Jazz Department in Nanaimo, B.C. Is the host venue. As well as high school student performances there are lunchtime concerts featuring adjudicators and guests, including Steve Kaldestad, Craig Scott, Dennis Eason, Brent Jarvis, Kevin Lee, Ken Lister and Rosemary Lindsay and invited grade 12 all stars.
Admission to all events is free.
