Igenio

In-Person

FEDUJAZZ chose to hold the event in the historic setting of the ancient sugar cane factory de Boca de Nigua and name it “Jazz en el Ingenio”. This magical place has been declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. The DOMINICAN REPUBLIC JAZZ FESTIVAL EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (FEDUJAZZ) is taking the event as a chance to present its first children's string program in Nigua as an orchestra, under the direction of teacher Venus Guerrero and as such show the community and guests what they have learned through the entire year.
It is also the opportunity to present other local artists and activities like the famous percussion artist David Almengod with his recycled tanks and the local kids ensemble with their typical drums.
