Debut of the Bryan Paniagua Trio as we roll towards International Jazz Day 2023

For jazz fans in the country, as well as Fiesta Sunset Jazz, it is always a great joy to witness the birth of a new project, of a new group. It is an honor to present, this Friday, April 21st, the debut of the Bryan Paniagua Trio!

A few days before the official celebration of International Jazz Day (April 30), drummer Paniagua, who has performed on many occasions as part of various groups, now comes out on stage at the renowned venue fronting his own project, accompanied by Roque Deschamps on Guitar and Theorbo and Eliezer Paniagua on Bass.

Bryan is a graduate of the UNPHU School of Contemporary Music and was one of the students who received the exchange award for 6 months with the lHochschule Für Musik und Theater Hamburg in Germany. His interpretive quality has helped him to be sought after by groups of various genres, including: Jose Virgilio Peña Suazo, Joshy & 4 jazz, Oscar Micheli Trio, Rafael Solano, Nini Caffaro, Amaury Sanchez, Manny Cruz, 4 in Tune, Gustavo Rodriguez, Alfredo Balcacer, Maridalia Hernandez, Anthony Jefferson & Corey Allen, among others.

His trio will deliver a balanced repertoire that includes original compositions by Bryan, as well as contemporary jazz tunes with original arrangements that will result in a modern, progressive, and high-quality presentation. Some of the songs in the repertoire will be his compositions Climax and Night in Germany, and others like Odd Elegy by Dhafer Youseff and Bandits by Nir Fielder.

On this outing we will celebrate jazz; we will celebrate International Jazz Day, we will rejoice with this talented and promising young Dominican musician and his trio, and together: musicians and audience will enjoy a great and colorful night of jazz... one that promises to be... simply first class!!

Para los fans del jazz en el país, así como del Fiesta Sunset Jazz, es siempre una gran alegría el presenciar el nacimiento de un nuevo proyecto, de un nuevo grupo. Es un honor presentar, este viernes 21 de abril, el debut del Bryan Paniagua Trío!

A escasos días de celebrar la efeméride del Día Internacional del Jazz (30 de abril) el baterista Paniagua, quien se ha presentado en muchas ocasiones formando parte de diversas agrupaciones, ahora sale a la tarima del reconocido espacio al frente de su propio proyecto, acompañado de Roque Deschamps en Guitarra y Tiorba y Eliezer Paniagua en el Bajo.

Bryan es egresado de la Escuela de Música Contemporánea de la UNPHU y fue uno de los estudiantes que recibió el premio de intercambio por 6 meses con la lHochschule Für Musik und Theater Hamburg en Alemania. Su calidad interpretativa le ha servido para que sea buscado por agrupaciones de variados géneros, entre estas: Jose Virgilio Peña Suazo, Joshy & 4 jazz, Oscar Micheli Trio, Rafael Solano, Nini Caffaro, Amaury Sanchez, Manny Cruz, 4 in Tune, Gustavo Rodriguez, Alfredo Balcacer, Maridalia Hernandez, Anthony Jefferson & Corey Allen, entre otros.

Su trío hará entrega de un balanceado repertorio que incluye composiciones originales de Bryan, así como temas del jazz contemporáneo con originales arreglos cuyo resultante será una noche moderna, progresiva y de alta calidad. Algunos de los temas en el repertorio serán sus composiciones Climax y Night in Germany, otras como Odd Elegy de Dhafer Youseff y Bandits de Nir Fielder.
