American keyboardist and composer Craig Taborn is one of the most authentic and innovative jazz musicians of our time.Taborn is familiar with music genres ranging from straight-ahead jazz to contemporary classical and electronic music due to his love of improvisation and experimentation. The pioneering musician is widely praised for his intriguing playing and imaginative, creative compositions. Craig's second solo album Shadow Plays, consisting entirely of improvisations, was recorded live and is regarded as a new highlight in his already impressive oeuvre. Taborn's improvised solo concerts are an experience in which he turns the whole of jazz history inside out and draws you into his wealth of ideas.
