Jazz connects people across all cultural boundaries and is considered a universal language for freedom, individuality and diversity. At the instigation of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, UNESCO has declared April 30th International Jazz Day to highlight this role of jazz. Hundreds of concerts take place around the world on this day. The Jazzklub Krefeld has been involved since 2013 with its double concert at Linn Castle. This year the Jazzklub Krefeld is also celebrating its 45th birthday.
Mayor Frank Meyer is patron and opens the evening.
