Our 7th participation in the IJD leads us to honor the famous Gypsi-Guitarist Django Reinhard.
The young and awarded German guitar player Elias Prinz, strongly influenced by the musical language of the Sinti, Django Reinhardt and the modern Parisian Jazz Manouche scene, masters with his Trio how to elegantly weave contemporary elements into them. He has found his own sound – virtuoso, but always melodic and with a lot of sensitivity, sometimes complex but never cerebral. Despite his young age (23), he can count himself among the most outstanding Jazz Manouche soloists of his generation. He has been performing in clubs and festivals all over Europe since his teenage years and will celebrate with us on April 30th, 2024 “The Spirit Of Django”.
