Saxophonist Yahya Dai, originally from Ankara and in the 37th year of his performance career, leads the Yahya Dai Quartet. This quartet, established in 1999, will perform at Last Penny in recognition of the 12th annual International Jazz Day.

Yahya has worked with many notable musicians including Tuna Ötenel and Janusz Szprot, and has been involved with numerous local and international festivals, projects, and organizations related to jazz. He’s participated in 70 published recorded works. In 2011 Dai’s Yahya Dai Quartet released the album “Ümitvar Mavi”.

Yahya Dai (ts, ss, ewi) will be on the Last Penny stage with Berk Kurdoğlu (k), Gökhan Över (b) and Serkan Alagök (d) on 30 April 2024, International Jazz Day.
