Celebrating International Jazz Day with Merengue Jazz and more

The Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Jazz en Dominican Republic will celebrate, for the thirteenth consecutive year, International Jazz Day with a first-class concert, a very special night in its renowned venue: Fiesta Sunset Jazz. From New York we shall have the well-known and beloved musicians Alex ¨La Tormenta¨ Díaz, a percussionist from Baní, and Iván Renta, a saxophonist from Coamo, Puerto Rico, whom, together, will present a night of Merengue Jazz and more with their Santo Domingo AfroJazz.

Diaz, heir to the concept of Merengue Jazz from his mentor Mario Rivera, has continues to make exquisite fusions of traditional jazz gems with merengue in original arrangements, as well as hi
