Marcos Cañola is a renowned bassist and musical director with a degree in Music from the University of Antioquia.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various artists and musical projects. He is currently the musical director and bassist of the group Pasabordo. Additionally, he leads the Marcos Cañola Cuarteto, a jazz ensemble founded in 2010 that blends Colombian Andean rhythms with jazz. This group has performed at prestigious festivals, including the Medellín International Jazz Festival (Medejazz), where they were selected to perform in the 2021 edition.
