Lismore Jazz Club is binging a great Brisbane band to town for the first time for International Jazz Day.
DB3+1 comprises David Bentley (keyboards and vocals), Nathan Goldman (percussion), Andrew Shaw (acoustic bass) and Mark Spencer (tenor sax). It's a swinging, spirited and multi-faceted lineup that focuses on David’s original material but also brings fresh harmonic interest to blues and jazz standards as well as delivering a unique take on classic New Orleans grooves. The group performs frequently at Brisbane Jazz Club and has a strong profile in the festival scene, including the Crossbows Festival at South Bank, the Re-Strung Festival at the Brisbane Metro and the BCC’s recent Jazz On The Green event at South Bank.
