International Jazz Day Bengaluru Celebrations
on April 29 & 30 2022
Two full days of Jazz!
Presented by The Bangalore School of Music in association with The Koramangala Club and curated by the Jazz & Contemporary Dept of BSM and MoonArra World Fusion, this year’s International Jazz Day Bengaluru is being held over two days with eleven of the city’s best jazz bands, taking part in the two day festival on April 29 & 30. The run up to the JazzDay event began early in February 2022 with Café Jazz Sessions, a monthly event, held at the Alliance Francaise to create a jazz scene where musicians connect with each other, audiences through performances, lecture demonstrations and jam sessions. With Jazz Day around the corner and as it is a much bigger event - it is being held at the spanking new #prabhathkaladwaraka 300 seater air conditioned auditorium inside the Koramangala Club.
International Jazz Day is celebrated the world over on April 30 and supported by UNESCO and the legendary Herbie Hancock as its brand ambassador. Jazz Day stands for unity in diversity, spirit of creativity, celebration of the human spirit, fostering peace, harmony, goodwill, and to bring about a positive change in the environment.

BSM Contemporary Students ensemble comprising of saxophones, drums, guitars and keyboard also perform.

In a special performance MoonArra, with a twelve member team, has put together a seamless stage production titled “A Continent Called Jazz “ with narration, music performances interspersed with movement and audio visuals.

The event will be inaugurated by H.E. Consul General of France, Mr. Thierry Berthelot on April 29.

Entry to the event is through free passes available at BSM & Alliance Francaise.
