Building on the success of the celebrations involving an international artist in 2015 2016, 2017 and 2019, International Jazz Day Myanmar 2023 funding is sought to arrange a similar series of events – i.e. 5 day workshop for the local jazz musicians from 25th to 29th April
followed by a large, family-friendly, free-of-charge event on 30th April featuring local jazz artists.

The workshops will be free-of-charge and open to 20 jazz musicians in Myanmar. On 28th and 29th, the workshop attendees will participate in “Masterclass - Playing with the Band” to practise and participate in the final gig event of 30th April night. This is a great opportunity for emerging musicians to know about jazz practice and expand their music knowledge.
