A 4 hour concert featuring new and established local jazz artists. An official opening ceremony starts the celebration where 2 of our pioneers, Sir Sidney Poitier (posthumously) and Paul Hanna will be honoured for their contributions to The Bahamas. Our Urban Renewal Marching Band comprised of inner city youths will participate. Vendors from Creative Nassau will display handicraft. Event sponsors include the Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Tourism. Event is outdoors and there is no admission cost.
