Storytelling and live music take you inside one of the most radical albums of the 20th century: the story of Bitches Brew told by someone who knows every layer of it.
On the centenary of Miles Davis’s birth, Enrico Merlin – musician, lecturer and one of the world’s leading experts on Davis – has put together an evening that is neither a lecture nor a concert: storytelling and music move together, seek each other out, and respond to one another. Anecdotes, documents, guided listening sessions and stories guide the audience through the creative turning points of an artist who knew how to continually reinvent himself, from bebop to cool jazz, right up to the electric revolution of Bitches Brew.
