International Jazz Day at Sapienza University of Rome

MuSa – Musica Sapienza celebrates International Jazz Day 2026 with the traditional concert by its jazz orchestra, conducted by Roberto Spadoni. Special guest La Rustica X Band—a powerful ensemble of young musicians founded over two decades ago in Rome's outskirts as a social and community project conceived by saxophonist Pasquale Innarella.
The program also includes a tribute to jazz legend Charles Mingus to mark the anniversary of his birth. The Sapienza Jazz Orchestra will present a reimagining of iconic pieces by the composer and double bassist, characterized by vivid tonal colors and musical energy.
