The Lithuanian Jazz Federation in cooperation with the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO organize an annual opening event dedicated to the International Jazz Day - "Jazz Lunch”. This year a new partner an NGO "Vilnius UNESCO City of Literature" joined the event and offered its premises – a cosy courtyard in the old city of Vilnius.
The year 2023 also marks the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, so "Jazz Lunch" will present jazz arrangements of Ukrainian musical folklore performed by a couple of Ukrainian jazz performers: vocalist Marina Pilipenko and percussionist Timur Pilipenko, as well as Lithuanian jazz pianist Andrej Polevikov.
