Jazz in Haiti round table

As part of the 11th International Jazz Day, the Haiti Jazz Foundation and Jacmel Jazz Festival are joining forces to implement a hybrid round table (face-to-face in Jacmel (Haiti) and on Zoom) on Saturday April 30 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All the invited actors (Haitian musicians from Haiti and the Diaspora, promoters, festival producers from Jacmel, Port-au-Prince and Martinique) will reflect together on the perspectives and alternatives of the jazz scene in Haiti in a context as difficult and uncertain as today.
3 themes will be addressed:
1. How is jazz doing in Haiti today.
2. How has kreol jazz evolved over the past 3 years?
3. What is the future of jazz in Haiti? Challenges and opportunities
