TransAtlantic Jazz Exchange presents a special collaboration concert featuring Cape Town jazz legends composers and multi-instrumentalists, Mark Fransman and Hilton Schilder, as well as up-and-coming composer and trumpet player, Muneeb Hermans. The inter-generational celebration of music will include solo, duet and trio performances, with young Hermans taking turns playing with both Schilder and Fransman, which will culminate in the trio performing together. For this celebration of International Jazz Day, the music curated by TransAtlantic Jazz Exchange will also include selected compositions from each artist and a homage to the great Duke Ellington and Max Roach who each celebrate their 125th and 100th birthdays this year respectively…
