Being held for the 28th time, Takatsuki Jazz Street is Japan’s largest free admission music festival. This year, it will take place at more than 55 venues ranging from the state-of-the-art 1500-seat Torishima Hall in the newly constructed Takatsuki Arts Theater, outdoor stages in two venues that can accommodate up to 3,000 persons each, mid-sized concert halls seating between 200-600 persons, public venues sprinkled throughout Takatsuki City, and intimate jazz clubs, cafes and bars. A total of 600+ bands and acts from the United States, France, South Korea and throughout Japan will perform. Major performers include Scott Hamilton, Detroit Jazz Festival All-Stars, Pierrick Pedron, Chihiro Yamanaka, Kei Akagi and US Air Force Band combo.
