The Orquesta Sinfónica de Cuenca, under the direction of Michael Meissner, presented a unique musical encounter in the city of Cuenca, in collaboration with the acclaimed local band Jazz de Barro, establishing a dialogue between the symphonic format and contemporary independent creation.

The concert featured a program entirely composed of original works by the members of the band, characterized by a musical approach that fuses jazz language with elements of traditional Ecuadorian music—such as albazo, sanjuanito, capishca, and pasillo—creating new sonic textures and aesthetic perspectives.
